Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. in Glasgow is seeking a General Assistant for a friendly catering environment. The role is 20 hours per week, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00am to 2:30pm, under a full-time permanent contract.

You will support the team by serving customers, replenishing stocks, and preparing service areas for daily business and functions. Previous catering experience and good English skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a fast-paced catering environment preferred.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
• Excellent personal presentation and hygiene.
• Good verbal English and reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the team with serving customers and replenishing stocks.
• Prepare service areas for daily business and special functions.
• Serve, clear, set up, and store food, beverages or equipment as required.
• Maintain high hygiene and safety practices and allergen control procedures.
• Restock stocks and assist during service to ensure great customer service.
• Handle rubbish efficiently and maintain cleanliness of work areas.
• Be flexible for occasional evenings or weekend functions.
• Ensure food standards are followed and wastage is controlled.
