Job summary

East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust is seeking a Catering Manager to lead hospital catering operations, ensuring safe food production, storage and service in line with regulatory standards.

You will manage the Catering team, oversee budgets, monitor HACCP, allergens, and staff training to deliver high-quality meals for patients and staff across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety.
• Level 3 HACCP or equivalent.
• Level 3 Allergens Awareness training.
• Professional Chef Qualification e.g., City and Guilds

Responsibilities

• Lead the Catering service for inpatients, outpatients, staff and visitors.
• Maintain food safety, HACCP procedures and allergen management.
• Oversee budgetary responsibility and procurement.
• Develop staff training and ensure food hygiene competency.
• Collaborate with Estates, EH and clinical teams to deliver safe meals.
