Job summary

Axcis Education is recruiting an Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support students with complex SEND needs at a specialist college in Haringey. This temporary role involves 1:1 and small-group support to help students access lessons and college life.

You will assist with communication, engagement and independent living skills, and may provide personal care as needed, working closely with teachers to tailor support for each student.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students or young people with SEND.
• Ability to work with students with complex needs.
• Patient, proactive and adaptable approach.
• Willingness to provide personal care when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support.
• Help students access lessons, activities and college life.
• Support communication, engagement and independent living skills.
• Assist with personal care where required.
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet individual needs.
