Middlesbrough Council is seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to help in their Catering service. This part-time role involves serving meals and ensuring cleanliness in multiple school kitchens while receiving training for skills development. Ideal for candidates seeking a rewarding opportunity in a supportive environment.
We have an exciting role on offer within our Catering service as a Catering Assistant.
You will assist the Unit Supervisor with washing up, cleaning the kitchen and dining hall, and serving lunchtime meals to children, along with other general duties to support the School Meal Service.
This role involves moving around all schools within Middlesbrough that we serve and is not restricted to just one school.
Experience in a busy, large-scale catering environment is preferred but not essential. Additional training will be provided, including the Basic Food Hygiene Course online, allergen training, and other relevant training.
Please note, this is a part-time role working 10 hours per week, term time only.
