Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant with Driving to join our school catering team. Based in the Aldercar area, you will help with basic food prep, serve during lunch, and deliver meals between schools.

This role offers Monday to Friday term-time hours, 25 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, with a pay of £13.50 per hour. A full UK driving licence is required; Food Hygiene Level 2 is helpful but not essential, training provided.

The Role:

As a Catering Assistant (with Driving), you will be a vital part of the team, making the lunchtime rush run smoothly. Your day will involve supporting the kitchen in basic food preparation, providing excellent service, and safely delivering meals from one school to another.

You’ll be making a real difference through responsibilities that include:

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (don’t worry, full training is provided!).
• Front-Line Service:Providing friendly, polite customer service to all students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and meeting Health and Safety compliance
