Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant in Wakefield to support our school kitchen operations. You will help with basic food preparation and deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush, ensuring a smooth service and a positive student experience.

We offer training, a 15-hour weekly schedule during term time, and a pay rate of £12.71 per hour. This role suits team players who thrive in a busy catering environment and value quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is desirable but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly customer service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.

The role:

As a Catering Assistant, you will be a vital part of the team, supporting our kitchen in basic food preparation and delivering excellent service that makes the lunchtime rush run smoothly.
