Aspens Services is seeking a Catering Assistant (with Driving) in Leicester to support school kitchens during the busy lunch service. You will help with basic food preparation, service at the tills, and safe meal delivery between sites.

This role offers term-time hours, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week across 38 weeks, with training provided in health and safety and food hygiene; a full UK driving licence is required. No late nights, no weekends; DBS check enhancements apply.

The Role:

As a Catering Assistant (with Driving), you will be a vital part of the team, making the lunchtime rush run smoothly. Your day will involve supporting the kitchen in basic food preparation, providing excellent service, and safely delivering meals from one school to another.

You’ll be making a real difference through responsibilities that include:

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (don’t worry, full training is provided!).
• Front-Line Service:Providing friendly, polite customer service to all students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and meeting Health and Safety compliance

• You have previous catering or fast-paced service experience
• You have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices
• The Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is great, but not essential, as we can provide the training!
