Sodexo Ltd is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our teams at St Benedict's Catholic High School, Alcester, and St Mary's Catholic Primary School. The role is 12.5 hours per week, term-time only (38 weeks/year), with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour.

The post involves food preparation, service, keeping kitchens clean, and occasional travel between sites. A full UK driving licence is essential and you may drive a Sodexo vehicle between campuses.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Willingness to travel between school sites as part of the role.
• Comfortable carrying out food service, washing up and general cleaning duties.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages.
• Support food service and washing up at both schools.
• Transport food and catering supplies between sites.
• Maintain hygienic kitchen and dining areas.
• Carry out general cleaning across catering areas.
• Follow hygiene, health and safety procedures.
• Provide friendly service to pupils and staff.
• Work flexibly across both sites to support the operation.
