Job summary

Hertfordshire Catering Ltd (HCL) is hiring a Catering Assistant at Green Ridge Primary School on a 13.75 hour week schedule. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals to children, and help maintain a clean, safe dining environment in line with health and safety regulations.

We value safeguarding, punctuality and teamwork, with training provided and opportunities to progress within the company. Uniform is provided, and term-time only work means school holidays off.

Qualifications

• Committed to safeguarding children and young people.
• Food hygiene level 2 certification (preferred).
• Basic understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of key allergens (preferred).
• Demonstrates punctuality and a team-driven attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and serve meals to children.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations.
• Receive, check and organise supplier deliveries.
• Carry out washing-up duties and maintain a clean hygienic kitchen and dining area.
• Representing HCL and reflecting our values in everything you do.
