East Ayrshire Council is seeking a part-time, temporary Food Preparation Assistant at Catrine Early Childhood Centre. This role involves assisting with meal preparation while promoting the Council's objectives. Applicants must have PVG membership and provide relevant references. The work schedule is Monday to Friday during term-time.

Hours: 10 hours per week
Assist in the daily preparation of food for a variety of meal plans at various establishments across East Ayrshire. This role supports the promotion, delivery, and integration of the Council’s key objectives, including the Community Plan, Shared Commitments, Single Outcome Agreement, and Best Value.
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a PVG Scheme member or have an existing membership, with a PVG Scheme Record Update, before a formal offer of employment is made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Catrine Nursery. The work pattern is Monday to Friday, 11:15 am - 1:15 pm. The hourly rate is £12.96. The post is temporary until 30th April 2026.
