Job summary

The Mill House, part of Anchor Hanover Group, in Skipton, is seeking a Catering Assistant to help deliver nutritious, well-presented meals in a warm, supportive team. You’ll assist with preparation, service, and maintaining high hygiene standards, contributing to residents’ wellbeing every day.

We value reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn; level 2 Food Safety, Health & Safety and COSHH knowledge are important.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people (ideal, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
