Job summary

Brooklands Technical College in Ashford is seeking a Catering Assistant to support the Hospitality and Catering team in our on-site mobile cafe. This stand-alone role operates 30 hours per week across 36 weeks, 8:30am to 2:30pm, on site at the Ashford campus.

You will provide first-class customer service, assist with some food preparation, maintain a clean kitchen, manage stock and cash handling, and ensure food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of working within catering or hospitality.
• Maths and English level 2 or equivalent.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Serving students, staff and external customers.
• Counter services.
• Some food preparation.
• Responsible for maintaining and cleaning kitchen area.
• Provide a professional and efficient service to staff and learners.
• Maintain security regimes for stock and cash handling.
