Job summary

Croda is hiring a Catering Assistant to support all aspects of catering operations at site locations. The role involves sandwich preparation, vegetable prep, food service, and occasional travel to local sites to support catering and delivery activities.

Ideal candidates will have catering experience, good communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team. A basic understanding of food handling and preparation is required, with a food hygiene certificate desirable but

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a catering environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, proactive approach with a genuine ‘can do’ attitude
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Good organisational skills and the ability to remain calm in a busy, fast-paced environment
• A good understanding of basic food handling and food preparation practices
• A food hygiene certificate is desirable, but not essential

Responsibilities

• Supporting the preparation and production of hot and cold meals across our Cowick Hall and Rawcliffe Bridge sites
• Preparing sandwiches, salads, buffets, while assisting chefs with food production as required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within the kitchen and serving areas
• Assisting with the set-up and clearing of catering areas for daily service and events
