Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a friendly General Assistant to support our busy kitchen operations on a shift from 8am to 2:30pm. You will help with food preparation, keep the kitchen clean, and assist with deliveries and stock storage in a facilities management environment.

The role focuses on customer service, teamwork, and reliable time-keeping; training in food hygiene can be provided, and you must have the right to work in the UK. Prior kitchen experience is valued but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial kitchens is valued but not essential.
• Right to Work in the UK required.
• Food hygiene Level 2 desirable but training provided.
• Excellent customer service and ability to work under pressure.
• Good time-management and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads
• Be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment. This includes cleaning utensils, tableware, and catering stations
• Assist with receiving and unpacking all deliveries, ensuring that the food and supply storage areas are organised
• Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu prepared by the Chefs. Our General Assistants may also act as a host/waiter when needed in events
