Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Catering Assistant for a permanent role at Coleg Gwent, Blenau Gwent. You will serve food and beverages, handle payments, restock, and maintain clean, safe front and back-of-house areas.

The role supports ongoing training and career progression within the team. Applicants should have or be willing to obtain a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate; 1–2 years in food services or retail is desirable.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required, but 1–2 years in a food services or retail environment desirable.
• Food hygiene knowledge desirable; relevant training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers following brand standards and answer questions about products.
• Take payments and keep financial records as required.
• Restock goods and ensure displays are attractive and compliant with safety standards.
• Clean back-of-house areas, crockery, and cutlery; maintain tidy counters and public areas.
• Follow health and safety procedures and undertake relevant training as required.
