Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is looking for a hands-on Catering Assistant to join our Coventry kitchen. You will help with food preparation, slicing, chopping, and making sandwiches and salads while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You will also assist with deliveries, organise storerooms, and serve items to customers according to the chef's menu, with daily vending duties and the ability to work Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Basic knife skills and food preparation abilities.
• Willingness to learn and handle time management.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Good organisational skills and attention to cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including utensils, tableware, and catering stations.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries and organise food and supply storage areas.
• Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu prepared by the Chefs.
• Top up the vending services daily.
