Job summary

South West Norse is recruiting a Catering Assistant for Kentisbeare C of E Primary School, Cullompton. This permanent, part-time role is 10 hours per week, Monday to Friday 11:30am–1:30pm, with a pro rata salary of £26,438.07 (about £12.71 per hour).

You will set up the hall, serve lunches, clear tables, assist with general catering duties, and maintain high standards of food hygiene and customer service. Training is provided, with benefits including 28 days annual leave, a pension scheme,

Catering Assistant

£26,438.07 Pro rata, equates to £12.71 per hour

Monday to Friday, 11:30am - 1:30pm

South West Norse is established in delivering catering, cleaning, and facilities management services to a portfolio of clients in the local region in partnership with Devon County Council, combining local knowledge with service delivery expertise.

As we recognise the importance of building a strong kitchen team to be a key ingredient to our catering success, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Catering Assistant join our team at Kentisbeare Primary School on a permanent, part-time basis working 10 hours per week.

The Role:

• Setting up the hall before service.
• Serving lunches to customers.
• Clearing tables and cleaning the dining area after service.
• Assisting with general catering duties as required.
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and customer service.

While we would ideally be seeking an individual that has previous experience within the role, at Norse we can offer full training and support for enthusiastic individuals who are looking to develop within the catering industry with a national company. We will expect you to demonstrate:

• Previous catering experience or willing to be trained in your new role.
• Friendly and polite customer service.
• Capable of working to deadlines in a busy environment.
• Working within a team.
