Job summary

Houston & Hawkes is hiring a friendly Catering General Assistant for a client site in Epsom. The role combines kitchen support with front-of-house duties, including food prep, service, till operations and maintaining clean, welcoming environments.

You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, at a rate of £14.80 per hour. The role offers varied daily tasks and a supportive catering team on site in Epsom.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, hospitality or customer-facing roles is beneficial.
• Ability to work well in a busy service environment.
• Willingness to help with basic food preparation and front-of-house duties.

Responsibilities

• Support kitchen with general food prep, sandwiches and fresh cold food.
• Prepare and serve food/beverages and handle till payments.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service throughout service.
• Assist with table service and clearing, restocking and stock rotation.
• Keep front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean and well presented.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards.
