Job summary

Stirling Council is seeking a catering assistant at Balfron High School. The role is 20 hours per week during term time, with a part-time, permanent contract. Duties include food preparation, basic cooking, service and hygiene, while ensuring compliance with food safety and health and safety regulations.

The successful candidate will join a team with training provided and may be based at one location initially, with the possibility to move locations as required. PVG checks apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering is not essential; training on the job will be provided.
• PVG scheme for Children required (to be completed if progressed).
• Willingness to relocate temporarily as service requires.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food and basic cooking.
• Food service to pupils and staff.
• Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with Food Safety Act and Health & Safety at Work Act.
