Job summary

Hull City Council is recruiting for a role in a day centre/residential kitchen, under the supervision of a cook. You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining area while helping to prepare basic meals for customers and operate laundry equipment as needed.

The post requires responsibility for health and safety as part of Council policy and contributing to a supportive team environment within the kitchen and dining spaces.

Responsibilities

• Promote and safeguard the welfare of vulnerable adults.
• Clean kitchen and dining areas and utility rooms under instructions of the cook.
• Lay, wait at and clean dining room tables and wash up cutlery, crockery etc to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Prepare basic meals for customers under supervision.
• Use laundry equipment such as washing machines and tumble dryers.
• Adhere to Hull City Council Health and Safety policies and practices to protect staff and service users.
