Job summary

North Lanarkshire Council is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our busy catering team in Scotland. You will support daily food preparation, serve meals and beverages, and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

The role is 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:00–14:00, pro rata salary £27,455–£28,533. PVG Scheme required after hire; we offer 27 days annual leave, learning and development via LearnNL, and flexible working options.

Qualifications

• Clear and confident communication.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Understands customer needs and current food trends.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Experience of customer service with till or cash handling.
