Anchor's Northbourne Care Home in Gateshead is recruiting a care assistant to support the Cook with lunchtime meals, help with serving residents, and maintain high food hygiene and cleanliness across kitchens and dining areas.

You will work as part of a respectful team, contributing to 24-hour care for up to 33 residents in a home-from-home environment; Anchor promotes diversity and equal opportunities and offers staff discounts and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in caring or hospitality is beneficial.
• Able to work in a care home environment and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Cook in preparing, setting out and serving lunchtime meals to residents.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety and food hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.
• Responsible for cleanliness and washing up of all cutlery and kitchen utensils.
