Job summary

Sanctuary Care’s Green Residential Care Home in Redruth is seeking a Catering Assistant to assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents. The role focuses on delivering a high standard of meal presentation in a calm kitchen environment, with emphasis on safety and hygiene.

Ideally you will have catering experience and a food hygiene certificate or be willing to achieve one, along with a good understanding of safe food handling.

Qualifications

• Previous catering experience and a food hygiene certificate, or willingness to work towards one.
• An understanding of safe food handling and cleaning practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the catering team with basic food preparation and meal service.
• Present and serve meals to a high standard for residents.
• Follow food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe and welcoming.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support residents’ daily experience.
