Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting a reliable Catering Assistant to join a busy workplace catering operation based in Peterborough (PE7).

This role suits someone with catering or hospitality experience who enjoys fast-paced service and delivering excellent customer care. You will handle breakfasts and lunches, set up counters, operate the till, and maintain hygiene while supporting the team.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality, or food service experience is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
• Understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with breakfast and lunch service, ensuring friendly and efficient service.
• Setting up and clearing down counters and service areas.
• Operating the till and handling customer transactions.
• Preparing basic food items, including sandwiches and salads.
• Washing dishes and kitchen equipment (pot wash).
• Maintaining clean dining areas and hygiene standards.
• Restocking confectionery and refreshments; assisting with deliveries and stock checks.
• Supporting the wider catering team with general duties as needed.
