Job summary

Eton College is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our Central Catering team. You will support boarding houses with full dining service during meals, assist with food preparation and presentation, and undertake cleaning in kitchen and dining areas.

You will also assist with events and provide waiting services as required. You will work to ensure high standards of hygiene and customer service, with duties including deliveries, serving, and supporting at school functions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure kitchen, service and dining areas are clean and tidy to required standards.
• Assist chef team with meal prep and presentation, including for house functions and events.
• Set up dining spaces and clear away after meals.
• Transport food and beverages from kitchen to dining areas; serve or assist pupils/guests as directed.
• Wash up crockery and cooking equipment; clean fridges and store cupboards.
• Take deliveries for the kitchen team when required; provide waiting services as needed.
• Support at a minimum of four House/School events per academic year; extra events paid.
• Maintain safeguarding and high standards of health and safety; attend mandatory training.
