Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd in the UK is seeking a General Assistant to support front of house and back of house operations in our school kitchens, helping to create delicious meals and a smooth service. Working Monday to Friday, 12:00–13:30, term time only (38 weeks), you’ll assist with cleaning, food preparation, and serving meals to students and staff while following food hygiene and health & safety procedures.

The role pays £12.71 per hour and offers career progression within a family-run business.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach.
• Understanding of good food hygiene and health and safety.
• Experience in kitchens, school meals, hospitality, or customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Support front of house and back of house operations.
• Carry out general kitchen duties, including cleaning, preparing food and snacks.
• Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly and professional manner.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
