Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd is a school catering company delivering nutritious meals across London, Kent, Surrey and Essex. We are seeking a General Assistant to join our team, working Monday to Friday, 10am–2pm, term-time only (38 weeks). The role offers a competitive rate of £12.71 per hour and career progression opportunities.

You will assist in both front-of-house and kitchen tasks, ensuring meals are prepared and served with a smile while maintaining high hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach required in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Background in kitchens, school meals, hospitality or customer-facing roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support front of house and back of house operations.
• Carry out general kitchen duties including cleaning and food/snack preparation.
• Serve meals to students and staff in a friendly, professional manner.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
