Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd is seeking a GeneralAssistant to join our school catering team. The role runs Monday to Friday, 11am–2pm, term-time only (38 weeks), with a starting rate of £12.71 per hour. You will support both front-of-house and back-of-house operations to deliver fresh, nutritious meals in schools.

Ideal candidates have hands-on kitchen experience, understand food hygiene, and have customer-facing skills. This is a family-friendly, supportive environment with opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach to work in a busy kitchen and school-catering setting.
• Good food hygiene and health & safety knowledge.
• Background in kitchens, school meals, hospitality or customer-facing roles.

Responsibilities

• Support front of house and back of house operations.
• Carry out general kitchen duties, including cleaning, food preparation and snacks.
• Immediate start available for the right candidate.
