Job summary

Nottingham Girls’ Academy is seeking a passionate catering assistant to join the busy kitchen team. You will help prepare nutritious meals under the supervision of the catering manager, work Monday to Friday for 25 hours per week during term time, and support service, till operations and hygiene duties.

In this role you’ll follow health and safety rules, maintain food hygiene standards, and undertake training to support the job. The academy values dedication to meal excellence for pupils.

  • Serving food ensuring that pupils are helped to make a balanced choice and that the correct portion control is made as per the National Nutritional Standards.
  • Supporting the catering team during service.
  • Operating the till and reconciling meals taken during service.
  • Cleaning the kitchen, its surrounds and equipment.
  • Following all health and safety laws and guidance and working within the food hygiene standards.
  • Undertaking training to support the job.

We are looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team
