Introduction

Join Bere Clinic, a service for people with Mental Health conditions, where you will work 37.5 hours a week with an established and dedicated kitchen team.

Reporting to the Head Chef, you will support the chefs in preparing meals, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and assisting with deliveries. There’s a great social aspect to this role where you can interact with people outside the kitchen regularly.

As a Catering Assistant, you will be:

  • Assisting catering staff with the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Serving food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors.
  • Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation.
  • Ensuring all areas, equipment, and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly.
  • Ensuring the kitchen and related areas meet hygiene standards and comply with company policies.
  • Liaising with the wider team, including dietitians, regarding dietary and planned meals.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Where you will be working:

Location: Bere Clinic, Hemlock Road, Waterlooville, PO8 8QT

12-bed CAMHS service supporting young people aged 12-18 with eating disorders. An onsite school provides educational services while in care, supported by a full multidisciplinary team, offering a great opportunity to be part of something new and help shape its future.
