Job summary

Meadowside Community Primary and Nursery School invites applications for a catering assistant who will join our supportive dining team. You will work with children during lunch periods, providing friendly, patient service and a calm presence.

You will assist with the preparation and service of tasty, nutritious meals and perform kitchen cleaning duties, surface wiping, mopping, and washing up. You will also help with packing/unpacking of food and ensure safe storage.

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting children is beneficial.
• Ability to follow hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and service of tasty, nutritious meals.
• Carry out cleaning duties in the kitchen (surfaces, floors, pots, pans, plates and cutlery).

The Governors at Meadowside Primary & Nursery School wish to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and committed catering assistant. We are looking for someone to join our team who can engage, empathise with and support our children during their lunch time. You will be required:

to assist with the preparation and service of tasty and nutritious meals

to carry out cleaning duties in the kitchen such as cleaning down surfaces, mopping and brushing the floor and cleaning pots, pans, plates and cutlery.

assist with packing and unpacking of food and other goods and to ensure safe storage of goods.
