Job summary

Thornhill Junior and Infant School is seeking a General Catering Assistant to support the school lunch program. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals to pupils, and help the Catering Supervisor with daily tasks in a busy kitchen environment.

We are looking for someone who can work well in a team, build positive relationships with children, stay flexible, and commit to developing their skills while contributing to a healthy, nutritious school meal service for around 330 pupils.

An opportunity has arisen for a General Catering Assistant to join our team.

The General Catering Assistant position duties include food preparation, the serving of meals and other duties as directed by the Catering Supervisor.

This is an exciting time to join us as we deliver our catering contract, working alongside FM Services to deliver a healthy, nutritious home cooked lunch to our 330 pupils.

Our successful candidate is someone who is willing to work as a part of the whole school team, to ensure that our pupils receive high quality meals each day, whilst maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
