Job summary

Miquill, a specialist school catering company in Stoke-on-Trent, is hiring a Catering Assistant. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals, provide friendly customer service and support the kitchen team in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers a Monday to Friday, term-time schedule with 39 weeks per year and 25 hours per week, with no late nights or weekends. DBS disclosure will be sought to ensure safeguarding. Training is provided for all duties.

Qualifications

• Friendly and versatile personality.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Previous catering experience is a bonus, but training is provided.
• Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred, but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic team to create a fun and unique dining experience for students and staff.
• Assist with preparing and serving meals.
• Operate tills (full training provided).
• Ensure a sparkling clean kitchen environment at all times.
• Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policy.

Job Introduction

As a Catering Assistant, you are the friendly face and backbone of our kitchen team! You'll provide fantastic customer service while assisting in the preparation of delicious, nutritious meals of the highest quality, using our fresh ingredients.

Main Responsibilities
