Aramark UK is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at Coleg Gwent – Blenau Gwent NP23 6GL. You would work Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week, 8am-3pm, term time only (38 weeks). Full training provided and PerkBox access with discounts.

Qualifications

• Food hygiene certificate – Level 2 desirable; training provided.
• No previous experience required; 1-2 years’ experience in a food services or retail environment desirable

Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers following brand standards and answer questions about the products
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot sandwiches
• Take payment and keep financial records as required
• Restock goods and ensure displays of merchandise
• Clean back of house areas, crockery and cutlery as trained
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment and public areas
• Report feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages or hazards to line manager
• Perform daily paper/computer work as assigned
• Keeps diligent records as required
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures
• Undertake relevant training as required

Job Responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation and combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made to order services including hot sandwiches in line with Aramark brand standards
• Take payment and keep financial records as required
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise
• Clean back of house areas, crockery and cutlery using equipment when trained to do so
• Clean and tidy counter, light equipment and public areas
• Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults or hazards identified during the work day
• Perform daily paper/computer work she/he is assigned
• Keeps diligent records as required
• Follows food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements
• Undertake relevant training as required

Key Requirements:

• Food hygiene certificate – Level 2 desirable. However, relevant training will be provided.
• Nopreviousexperiencerequired, but 1-2 years’ experience in a food services or retail environment desirable
