Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join the team at Mid Kent College, TN9 1FN. You will work in a busy campus catering operation, delivering tasty, high-quality food in line with recipes and standards.

The role is permanent, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10:30am–5:30pm, term time only (35 weeks). Full training is provided, with access to PerkBox and additional benefits including life assurance, pension contributions, and generous holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Food hygiene certificate – Level 2 required.
• Barista experience advantageous; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Effective and efficient food production in line with recipe sheets.
• Full knowledge of all menu items served.
• Management of production to ensure minimal wastage.
• Maintenance of food levels throughout all service periods.
• Maintenance of food quality and brand standards.
• Ensuring high hygiene and health and safety standards in line with Aramark requirements and identifying anomalies.
• Capturing and recording all volumes consumed and overproduction.
• Assisting in the compilation of all shift opening and closing checklists.
