Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Catering Assistant to join the team at Macclesfield Academy, SK11 8JR. The role supports service of meals, maintains hygiene, and abides by health and safety and equality policies.

DBS clearance is required, with full training provided and opportunities for progression within the Aramark family. Working Monday to Friday during term time, staff benefit from PerkBox discounts, life assurance, pension contributions and generous holiday entitlement with buy-back

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a DBS check.
• High personal standards and attention to detail.
• Experience in a similar role is ideal but not essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and/or beverages to customers to Aramark standards.
• Carry out cleaning duties related to service and equipment.
• Prepare service area and points for service.
• Ensure correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance and uniform to company regulations.
• Present a professional image reflecting good customer relations.
• Support health and safety policies and equal opportunity practices.

Job Responsibilities

• Service of food and/or beverages to customers to the standards set by Aramark.

• Preparation of service area and/or service points.
• Correct storage of food items and equipment after service.
• Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to companyregulations always.
• To always present an image conducive to good customer relations.
• Comply andassistin the promotion and implementation of the company’s health and safety policy.
• Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company’s equal opportunity policy.
