Job summary

Thomas Telford School is seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join a team in a busy department. The role is term-time only with hours from 9.15am to 2.30pm, Monday to Friday. Full training will be provided and a Food Hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential.

You will work in the kitchen, servery and restaurant, handle food preparation, serving, and till operations, and assist with deliveries and hospitality duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or food service is advantageous.
• A Food Hygiene certificate is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of kitchen, equipment, servery and restaurant.
• Assist in dish wash and pot wash.
• Put away deliveries and some food preparation.
• Serving of food and operating the till.
• Carry out other catering duties as required.
• Support hospitality duties as needed.

Duties Include:

• Cleaning of the Kitchen, Equipment, Servery and Restaurant.
• Working in the Central Dish Wash and Pot Wash.
• Putting away deliveries.
• Some food preparation
• Serving of food and working on the till
• Any other Catering Duties as required.
• Hospitality duties.

The post is Monday to Friday, term time only.
