Job summary

Caterlink is recruiting a Catering Assistant for Grange Junior School, Swindon to assist with food preparation, cakes and desserts, serving meals, washing up and clearing down. The role is term-time only with no weekends, working 20 hours per week from 9:30am to 1:30pm.

Your duties include setting up the servery and dining hall, serving meals to pupils and staff, and ensuring safety and cleanliness while delivering a friendly, efficient service and upholding Caterlink’s brand.

Job Description

We are hiring for a Catering Assistant at Grange Junior School, Swindon to help with food preparation, cakes & desserts, to serve the meals, wash up and clear down. This role is working term-time only and no weekends so is great for those looking for flexibility.

The role: General Catering Assistant

• £12.71per hour
• 20 hours per week working Monday – Friday 9.30am - 13.30pm
• Term-time only – working 38 weeks per year

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Set up the servery and dining hall
• Serve the meals to the pupils, teachers and visitors
• Complying with Caterlink Health and Safety and Food Safety standards and procedures
• Keeping the kitchen, counter and restaurant areas in a clean and tidy state
• Providing a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
• Representing Caterlink and maintaining a positive brand image
