Job summary

Care UK in the United Kingdom is hiring a Catering Assistant to support daily dining services for residents. You will help with food preparation, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and ensure safe storage of produce, under the guidance of chefs and home managers.

The role offers training through our Catering Academy, development opportunities, shift patterns including alternate weekends, and access to discounts and wellbeing support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and related areas.
• Preparation of produce for mealtime, for example vegetable preparation and making of sandwiches
• Ensure correct storage of all dry and perishable produce.
• Safely storing cleaning materials
• Ensure all cooking utensils and pots are cleaned to the required standards
• Carry out any tasks assigned by the Head / Second Chef or Home Manager
