Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is seeking part-time Catering Assistants to work front and back of house at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, Smethwick. 26 hours over two weekly patterns, with shifts including early mornings. The catering department is looking to recruit part-time experienced catering assistants to work front and back of house at various sites.

MMUH

26 hours per week – cold room - Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday & Friday 8.00am - 3.00pm. Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday 8.00am - 3.00pm

Main duties of the job

Applicants must have previous catering experience with high standards of work, motivated and enthusiastic and are able to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.

A flexible approach to hours and duties and be able to work additional shifts as required at time with short notice.

To carry out a wide range of general catering duties in an efficient and effective manner to ensure that a high-quality service is provided at all times. The posts have a significant amount of personal contact with staff, patients and members of the public.

Main duties are serving customers, using a barista coffee machine, cash handling, food preparation general cleaning & completing associated paperwork.
