Job summary

Aspris is recruiting for a catering assistant to join their catering team, supporting basic food preparation and kitchen hygiene to promote healthy eating and contribute to the wellbeing of children and young people.

Under supervision you will assist with meal preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and help ensure the kitchen operates smoothly in line with safeguarding policies. A rewarding role offering training and progression opportunities within Aspris Children’s Services.

Responsibilities

• Assists with basic food preparation and kitchen hygiene to support the catering operation.
• Maintains hygiene standards and follows safeguarding and health and safety policies.
• Supports the Chef with meal preparation and cooking in line with policies.

In this role, you will under direction, take responsibly for parts of the catering operation, ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards and comply with the Company's Assured Safe Catering Policies and Procedures and assist the Chef with both the preparation and cooking of meals in accordance with these.
