Job summary

Aspens Services is recruiting a Catering Assistant to join our school kitchen teams in North Hykeham, Lincoln. You will support basic food preparation and assist with service during the lunchtime rush, delivering great customer experiences for pupils and staff.

We offer Monday to Friday work during term time, 20 hours per week over 38 weeks per year, at £12.71 per hour. No late nights or weekends, with training provided and DBS checks required to safeguard children.

Qualifications

• You’re a team player and thrive as part of a busy team.
• You have previous catering or fast-paced service experience.
• You have a basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• The Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is great, but not essential as training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite customer service to all students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and Health and Safety compliance.

The role:
