Gateshead Council is seeking a part-time, term-time school kitchen assistant to help prepare and serve midday meals in a primary/secondary setting. You will follow a set menu, cater for dietary needs, and support pupils, staff and families with high-quality food service.
Role requires teamwork, reliability and a commitment to high standards, with duties spanning cooking, cleaning, and completing routine paperwork.

The Property, Assets and Traded Services team are pivotal in the Council’s building, asset and estates management, keeping Council properties, including Schools, clean, safe and healthy for all who use them. Our wider teams also take care of planned preventative maintenance programmes and capital project management and delivery.
Please note, this is a part-time, term-time only post and the advertised salary is pro rata for the hours worked.
