Firwood Special School is seeking a Catering Assistant to join our school catering team in Manchester. The role covers midday shifts with a 15-hour weekly pattern, supporting the preparation and production of school meals across both sites.
You will work under the Catering Manager to deliver varied Lunchtime meals, ensuring high standards and compliance with safety requirements. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, flexible, and proactive, with experience in a fast-paced catering

Salary: £24,796 full time equivalent. Full time equivalent to be pro-rata'd for part time hours/term time only
The school are keen to appoint an enthusiastic,highly motivated and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our committed,supportive and friendly catering team who are responsible for the preparationof school meals across both sites.
The post involves a mid-day working pattern. The need to work flexibly to the needs ofthe school is essential. Under the direction of the Catering Manager, we arelooking for someone who will be responsible for supporting the preparation andproduction of a varied lunchtime menu for the children of our school.
The ability to work systematically, identifyissues and use initiative to solve problems is essential.
