Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, Medirest, is recruiting an ambitious Chef to help us deliver exceptional healthcare food on a part-time basis contracted to 30 hours per week. You will prepare and serve high-quality meals that brighten clients’ and customers’ days, and support menu development.

You will supervise a small team, monitor inventories, ensure hygiene and health-and-safety compliance, and respond to feedback to continually improve our service.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent.
• Food Hygiene certificate.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listen and act on customer feedback to improve service.
• Support creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Represent Healthcare and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
