Job summary

Compass Group UK in London is recruiting an ambitious Chef to join Healthcare on a full-time basis, contracted to 37.5 hours per week. The role offers 5 out of 7 shift patterns and opportunities to progress within a market-leading food service company.

You will prepare delicious, high-quality food, oversee menus, respond to customer feedback, and support new food concepts while upholding hygiene and safety standards in Defence environments.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent is preferred.
• Experience supervising a team.
• Experience in a similar Chef role.
• Hold a Food Hygiene certificate.
• Flexible approach to working.

Responsibilities

• Preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights clients and customers.
• Overseeing and implementing menu changes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve our food services.
• Listening and acting on customer feedback to improve services.
• Supporting with the creation of new menus and creative food concepts.
• Representing Defence and maintaining a positive brand image.
• Monitoring inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Overseeing kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Complying with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.

Your key responsibilities will include:
