NHS Scotland is recruiting a 25-hour Catering Assistant/Cook for the kitchen at County Community Hospital, Invergordon. The role covers a variety of hours 07:30–18:00, seven days a week on a rotational basis, and involves assisting the senior cook with patient and staff meals and running catering in the absence of the senior cook.
Applicants should have cooking experience in a similar environment and City & Guilds/SCPTVEC/SVQ Level 3 or equivalent; strong communication and organisational skills
A 25HR CATERING ASSISTANT/COOK POST WORKING A VARIETY OF HOURS BETWEEN 07.30AM – 6.00PM MONDAY – SUNDAY (5/7 ON A ROTATIONAL BASIS) HAS ARISEN WITHIN OUR BUSY KITCHEN IN COUNTY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL, INVERGORDON.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL WORK AS PART OF A TEAM ASSISTING THE SENIOR COOK IN THE PREPARATION OF ALL PATIENT AND STAFF MEALS ASSUMING FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE RUNNING OF THE CATERING SERVICE IN THE ABSENCE OF THE SENIOR COOK.
APPLICANTS SHOULD HAVE PREVIOUS COOKING EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ENVIRONMENT CITY & GUILDS/SCPTVEC/SVQ LEVEL 3 OR EQUIVALANT.
GOOD COMMUNICATION AND ORGANISATIONAL SKILLS ARE ESSENTIAL.
