Job summary

Stir seeks a Catering Assistant to be the face of our service, delivering excellent customer service while helping prepare delicious, nutritious meals using fresh, sustainable ingredients. You will work as part of a team to create a wonderful dining experience for students and staff, serve food at the till (full training provided), support chefs, and keep the kitchen clean and safe.

The ideal candidate is friendly, adaptable, and thrives in a busy environment, with excellent customer service

As Catering Assistant, your core task is to be the face of our service, delivering excellent customer service with a smile, while getting hands-on with the preparation of delicious, nutritious, and high-quality meals made with fresh, sustainable ingredients.

Role Responsibility

Service Excellence: Work as a dynamic part of the team to create a fantastic dining experience for all our students and staff—you’re key to lunchtime happiness!

Customer Champion: Serve food and operate thetills(don't worry, we provide full training!).

Culinary Support:Jump in and assist the chefs with meal preparation, playing a vital role in bringing our delicious menus to life.

Keep it Sparkling: Ensure a clean and organised kitchen environment at all times.

• Safety First:Adhering to all guidelines, including Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous catering or food service experience is a bonus!

A basic understanding of Health and Safety practices.

Food Hygiene Level 2 is great, but not essential—we believe in training, so we’ll provide it for the right enthusiastic candidate!
