Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking a caring Catering Assistant to join our Kenn Church of England Primary School community. You will help prepare and serve nutritious meals for pupils, support lunchtime service, and help keep the kitchen clean and safe.

Travel between trust schools is required, and training is provided. The role values teamwork, good communication, hygiene, and a friendly, customer‑focussed attitude.

Qualifications

• Have a valid Driving Licence.
• Be a team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Have good communication and hygiene standards.
• Be customer focussed with a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Have experience in catering (preferred but not essential – training provided!).

Responsibilities

• Help prepare and serve nutritious meals to our pupils by assisting with preparation of food
• Assisting with the setting up of servery counters
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
• Support the team during busy lunchtimes
• Transport food to other schools that receive ‘hot box’ meals from the Kenn production kitchen
• Bring smiles to the dining hall every day!

You will be based at Kenn Church of England Primary School. There is a requirement to travel to other schools in our Trust.
