Job summary

Jobwise Ltd. is seeking a Temporary Catering Assistant in Farnworth to deliver first-class staff catering and support for meetings and office social spaces. You will start with training from 23rd September, then provide cover from 28th September to 2nd October.

The role involves meeting room prep, coordinating external caterers, stocking vending and handling simple payments. The ideal candidate has hospitality or front-of-house experience, excellent communication, and flexibility to work across

Qualifications

• Experience in Catering Support, Hospitality or Front of House.
• Confident dealing with people face-to-face in a professional and friendly manner.
• Comfortable handling contactless payments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised with good attention to detail.
• Flexible to cover a variety of tasks.
• Positive, reliable with a can-do attitude.
• Experience in office-based or hospitality/kitchen environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and provide refreshments for booked meetings and ad hoc requests.
• Prepare meeting rooms and ensure cleanliness after meetings.
• Coordinate with external catering companies.
• Keep vending stations stocked and stock monitored.
• Order kitchen supplies as needed.
• Prepare lunches for Directors.
• Maintain a clean, welcoming kitchen and social area.
• Manage stock levels and replenishments.
• Handle contactless payments for snacks.
• Assist with buffet lunches and events.
• Provide friendly, professional service to staff and visitors.

Are you confident dealing with people face-to-face and LOVE providing a professional, friendly service? Are you available for a temporary opportunity with a fantastic established business?

We are recruiting a Temporary Catering Assistant to join a long-established national business based in Farnworth. This Catering Assistant role is based within fantastic modern offices and is focused on providing a first-class service to staff, supporting meetings, refreshments, catering and the smooth running of the office social and kitchen areas.

This is a temporary cover opportunity, with training required in advance of the holiday cover. You will be required to start on 23rd September, with approximately 3 days' training, before providing cover from 28th September to 2nd October.

What will you be doing as an Catering Assistant?

• Arranging and providing refreshments for booked and ad hoc meetings
• Preparing meeting rooms and ensuring they are clean, tidy and organised after meetings
• Liaising with and coordinating external catering companies
• Ensuring vending machine stations are fully stocked
• Monitoring kitchen supplies and placing regular orders as required
• Preparing lunch each day for a couple of Directors
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and welcoming kitchen and social area
• Managing stock levels and replenishing supplies
• Taking contactless payments for snacks and other items sold within the kitchen area
• Assisting with buffet lunches and catering arrangements for special events
• Providing a friendly, professional and helpful service to staff and visitors

Requirements

• Previous experience in Catering Support, Hospitality, Front of House etc
• Confident dealing with people face-to-face in a professional and friendly manner
• Comfortable handling contactless payments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Flexible and happy to get involved with a variety of tasks
• Positive, reliable and able to demonstrate a real can-do attitude
• Previous office-based experience would be advantageous
• Experience within a hospitality, catering or kitchen environment would be desirable
• Available to start on 23rd September and complete the required training before the cover period
